Government Commend Stakeholders

The government of the Ghana has commended all stakeholders for cooperation towards the burial of the late president, H.E Jerry John Rawlings after a meeting held with the Funeral planning committee.

The summit which took place at the Accra International Conference Center was held to plan for the activities to celebrate the life and lay to rest the mortal remains of the former President.

The Minister of Information who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ayirebi constituency, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on behalf of the Government took to his Facebook page to show appreciation and commendation to all stakeholders.

“Today at the Accra International Conference Center, on behalf of the Funeral Planning Committee for the late H.E Jerry John Rawlings, we announced various activities to celebrate the life and lay to rest the mortal remains of the former President.

Government is appreciative of the cooperation received from all stakeholders as we prepare to give the late President, H.E Jerry John Rawlings, a peaceful rest”.

The late died at the age of 73 after a short illness at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in the Greater part of Ghana, Accra.

He is the founder of the National Democratic Congress NDC).
